Care and maintenance
Simple habits that can help maintain a cooling appliance
Maintenance requirements depend on the technology used in the exact Coolizi model, so the supplied manual should always come first. In general, air-moving appliances work best when their intake areas are not covered with dust and when filters, if fitted, are cleaned or replaced on the recommended schedule. A blocked filter can reduce airflow and may cause the unit to work harder.
Before cleaning, switch the appliance off and disconnect it from power unless the manual gives different instructions. Avoid spraying household cleaner directly into vents or electrical openings. A soft dry or slightly damp cloth is usually more appropriate for the external casing, while removable filter parts should only be washed if the manufacturer specifically describes them as washable. Let any washable component dry fully before reinstalling it.
If the model uses water, a tank, cooling cartridge or drain system, stale standing water should not be ignored. Follow the cleaning and emptying schedule described by the manufacturer. If the model uses an exhaust hose, inspect it for kinks, gaps or obstructions. If it uses a refrigeration system, do not attempt to open sealed components or repair refrigerant parts yourself.
Storage also matters. When the warm season ends, clean and dry the device before putting it away. Keep the cable loosely coiled rather than sharply bent, store accessories together, and choose a dry location where the unit will not be exposed to freezing moisture or heavy objects. When bringing the appliance back into use, inspect the cable, plug and casing before powering it on.
